A Canadian technology company in the e-learning space had to restructure and lay off 100 employees as part of an effort to reduce the company’s cost structure amid what had become a difficult and unpredictable capital-raising environment. 

The affected employees were all professionals in various departments from business to engineering. The company was able to provide its employees with a range of $500-$900 Thrive programs. This not only adheres to their budget but the cost-effective programs still allowed their employees to receive FlexSpend tokens in order to choose the services that they need for their career transition through the Thrive’s Marketplace of over 70 career support services.

In addition, career support staff, as well as representatives from Inkblot Mental Health Counselling, were available on-call on-site for support for half days during the communications period.
