TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA – March 13th, 2023
Thrive Career Wellness Inc. (Thrive) is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Government of Ontario, in partnership with Serco Canada Inc. and Deloitte Inc., to provide digital support for job seekers in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Barrie Catchment region. This selection was made as part of the Employment Services Transformation (EST) program Phase 2, an initiative established by the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development to assist job seekers with employment supports, upskilling and matching them to employment opportunities that result in meaningful long-term careers.
For Thrive, a global leader in the digital employment services space, this is the second catchment that has been awarded to Thrive and Consortium Partners following the Kingston-Pembroke Catchment within Phase 1 of the Transformation.. The Serco-led consortium will soon establish a planning and transition period process in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Barrie Area, working closely with the community and key stakeholders to build on and manage the employment services delivery network.
Starting in January 2024, Thrive's one-stop digital job search solution will enable job seekers in the region to access fully digital employment support channels, amplify the work of employment service providers and connect employers with its discovery and matching technologies. Job seekers in Kitchener-Waterloo-Barrie will be able to access a one-stop web portal where they can build resumes, cover letters, search and save jobs across all major job boards, explore career pathways, and a personalized directory of employment, upskilling and social support programs. The experience will be guided by insights from job coaches, labor market data and AI algorithms to assist them in qualifying for the right opportunities. Employers in Kitchener-Waterloo-Barrie will be introduced to a new Thrive portal where they can post jobs and immediately connect with tens of thousands of job seekers in the region.
“Thrive is excited by the opportunity to improve the digital experience of job seekers and employers in Kitchener-Waterloo-Barrie and continue our journey to help Canadians be more employable at any stage in their career,” said Jeffrey Doucet, CEO of Thrive Career Wellness Inc. “The job search market has largely migrated online, and we are eager to bring digital capacity to the Consortium and augment the work of employment service providers in the region.” added Doucet. Thrive has now been or is scheduled to be deployed to support six different government employment ecosystems in three provinces in Canada.
The Serco-led consortium will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to build on and manage the employment services delivery network in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Barrie Catchment region, ensuring a seamless transition to a one-stop digital job search solution.
