Walmart Canada is anticipating that retail workers will be heavily impacted by changes in technology over the next decade. They recognized that Thrive is the best solution for their needs with its library of over 30,000 e-learning courses and the flexibility of external coaching services to help employees navigating a career change.

Walmart has a diverse group of employees and wanted one vendor to deliver services to salaried professional staff as well as hourly employees. Thrive has proven to flexibly support ongoing dismissal and layoff of corporate employees and has helped with reskilling and deploying displaced retail staff with strong aptitude or soft skills to growth divisions.

After positive feedback from salaried staff, Walmart is working towards introducing Thrive to hourly and skilled trade workers who are impacted by changing business priorities within remote retail locations across Canada. This category of workers has not previously been offered career transition services.
