About the WorkFirst
Alberta Summit

The 2026 WorkFirst Alberta Summit is a two-day, province-wide gathering that brings together employers, workforce professionals, service providers, government representatives, and community leaders to explore practical solutions to Alberta’s evolving workforce needs.

Taking place September 23–24 at the Edmonton EXPO Centre, the Summit will feature employer and industry perspectives, keynote speakers, case studies, interactive discussions, and opportunities to build meaningful connections across Alberta’s workforce ecosystem.

Employers will gain practical insight into workforce trends, hiring and retention strategies, employment programs, and supports available to Alberta businesses. The Summit is also an opportunity to share workforce challenges, connect with government and service providers, and build partnerships that can strengthen recruitment, retention, and future workforce planning.

Whether your organization is actively hiring, preparing for growth, or looking for new ways to support and retain employees, the Summit offers valuable connections and practical information to help move your workforce goals forward.

You don't need to register separately for the Summit. Requesting to attend the Employer Breakfast will also register you for the WorkFirst Alberta Summit, which you are welcome to attend, even if you don't receive a confirmed invitation to the breakfast itself.
